Harvey Elliott has backed Liverpool new boy Darwin Nunez to be a success and says the 'world will see' why he's been brought in.
Nunez could eventually cost the club a club record £85million (€100m). He made his first appearance for the Reds earlier this week as he played 30 minutes of the 4-0 defeat to Manchester United on Tuesday. The 23-year-old then played a similar amount of time in today's win over Crystal Palace, in which Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah scored.
It's early days in Nunez's Liverpool career, of course. But Elliott has expressed the excitement surrounding him and has backed him to succeed at Anfield.

"He's been brilliant," he told LFC TV before the Palace clash. "He's a top player as well as a top guy, for all that we can conversate in. Liverpool, the fans and the world will see why we brought him in.
"He's a great player and he showed that against us (for Benfica). I'm very excited to see what he can bring this season, we're all looking forward to seeing him play. I'm sure he can show the world why we signed him."
Elliott himself has a huge pre-season ahead of him as he looks to force himself back into Jurgen Klopp's thinking after an injury kept him sidelined for a large period last term. The youngster started a number of games early in the campaign, including against Chelsea, before injury struck against Leeds United.
The 19-year-oldm who impressed against Palace, added: "I feel back to normal now, and I feel back to how I was before the injury. I'm just getting myself back to normal and making sure I feel 100 per cent physically and mentally, which I feel now.
"I'm just excited for what the season brings and I'm looking forward to it."
