Few of us can imagine what it might be like reaching the grand old age of 100.
Even less would probably consider celebrating that landmark birthday by jumping out of a plane.
But that's exactly what former WWII nurse Raymonde Sullivan did, the daredevil centenarian using her big moment to try skydiving for the first time.
Sullivan, who's originally from the UK but now lives in Florida, had always vowed to family and friends that she'd attempt the stunt if she ever got that old.
And she made good on that promise earlier this week, with footage appearing on her local US news channel NBC 5, reports The Mirror.
"I had never done it and I’ve done a lot things in 100 years," she told an interviewer.
"I thought, 'I must do it while I can'."
In her day, Sullivan treated wounded soldiers on the front line during WWII and had seen her fair share of danger as a result.
So something like leaping from a plane clearly held no fear for her.
Attached to a parachute-wearing instructor she bravely took the plunge, but afterwards conceded that the experience had been "scary."
Asked if she would do it again, she laughed, "No, no."
