World Superbike hero Carl Fogarty in visit to Knockhill

MOTORBIKE great Carl Fogarty will be at Scotland’s Knockhill circuit on Sunday – headlining a family event being put on by Ducati Glasgow.

Fans will even have the chance to win pillion rides with the four-time World Superbike champion at the famous Fife venue.

It’s the first time Foggy, who was also crowned King of the Jungle in the 2014 I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! telly show, has been back at Knockhill in more than 30 years.

Joining him will be Scots two-wheel aces Ian Simpson and Iain Macpherson – and fans can win track rides with them, too. Ducati only track-day sessions are also on offer, with Knockhill bosses running the circuit in reverse in honour of Foggy’s visit.

The fun and activities extend far beyond the track, with something going on throughout the day for all the family to enjoy. There will be a host of two and four-wheeled Italian exotica on display, with Lamborghini Edinburgh getting in on the action.

Activities include stunt shows and displays, expert advice about getting a motorcycle licence, mini-moto sessions, off-road experiences, test rides and more.

Raffles will be running throughout the day, with £1000 worth of prizes and experiences to be won and proceeds being donated to Carl’s charity, the NSPCC.

The programme of events starts at 9am and runs through to 5pm and pre-booked entry is only £2.50. Tickets on the day are £5 each, with the money again going to the NSPCC, and the price includes raffle entry. Go to www.ducatiglasgow.co.uk to find out more.

Ducati Glasgow boss Andrew Duthie said: “This event promises explosive action for the whole family and we would love you to join us for this celebration of performance and Italian exotica!”

The Knockhill event will be followed by An Evening With Carl at the Glynhill Hotel, Renfrew, from 7pm where he will be on stage talking all about his experiences on track and off it. Tickets are only £35.00 each and include a hot buffet.
