World's Strongest Man Tom Stoltman gets kitted out in new suit with his brother

An Ayrshire menswear expert has helped kit out the world’s strongest brothers in specially made suits.

Declyn Cooper, known as the ‘Bearded Buyer’, got strongmen Tom and Luke Stoltman suited and booted as part of his role for menswear giant Slater’s.

Declyn, from Ayr, helps run the fashion firms Made to Order branch which expertly seek out the perfect fitting suit.

But he was recently given his biggest challenge yet, when the two titans appeared in the Made to Order HQ in Glasgow.

Declyn told Ayrshire Live: “They recently made an appointment with us but we didn’t know about it – it didn’t register who they were.

“They were sitting in the sofa – we just thought these guys are huge, their hands are like shovels.

“They had been up at the Inverness store, but they didn’t have any suits that fitted them so they were sent down to us in Glasgow.”

Declyn and Mark’s mission to kit out the strongmen took them all the way to the Stoltman’s Highland home in Invergordon and back.

Declyn said: “They showed us around their office and told us what they are up to. They want to help put Invergordon on the map, they are really passionate about it. It’s a stunning place.

“It was incredible to see how they maintain that level of strength, what they go through, what their diet is like.

“They did some demonstrations of throwing things about. The offered to lift me up but I was too feart!”

World Champion Tom, 28, secured his double crown after finishing on 53.5 points at the World’s Strongest Man in Sacramento, California. Tom has a world record for lifting an Atlas stone which weighs in at 268kg.

Older brother Luke meanwhile was crowned Europe’s Strongest Man in 2021 after sealing a win in the First Direct Arena in Leeds.

The pair had specially super-sized jackets made up with Decyln admitting there was a few ‘sleepless nights’ waiting for the final product.

A video taken at the fitting shows the moment that Tom walks out wearing his suit, as he looks pleased with the end result.

The pair have had the suits made up for future TV appearances and award shows.

Luke got embroidery saying “World’s Strongest Brothers” stitched into the inside pocket of his suit.

Declyn added: “They were both buzzing to have a suit that fits. It was good fun and great to meet them.

“It shows off what we can do.”
