World's largest Banksy exhibition comes to Manchester this autumn

A massive exhibition featuring original works from graffiti artist and painter Banksy is heading to Manchester later this year.

The Art of Banksy exhibition will showcase a large number of prints, canvases and sculptures created by the artist over the years, all of which are on loan from 40 collectors from around the world.

The exhibition, which has been described as 'the world's largest collection of authenticated works by Banksy', is due to arrive in Manchester this autumn following a hugely-successful world tour, which has already featured stops in London, Melbourne, Auckland, Toronto and San Francisco.

The exhibition, which will be presented in association with HOME, is set to be housed within a purpose-built ‘plot 10’ art museum on River Street in the city centre from September, subject to planning approval and consultation with residents.

While the exhibition has not been authorised or curated in collaboration with the Bristol-born artist, it will be a chance for many to see his work up close for potentially the first time.

Details on which works will be featured within the attraction have not yet been revealed, but ticket goers have been promised a chance to see Banksy’s 'most explosive pieces from private collections across the globe’.

The Art of Banksy exhibition visited London in 2021, before closing in May 2022. During its run, the exhibition featured around 90 original and authenticated works by the painter dating between 1997 and 2008. During this period, Banksy created some of his most recognisable works including the now-iconic 'Girl and the Balloon'.

Fans can pre-register interest in the exhibition by clicking here. More details are expected to be announced in the next week.
