World Cup ticket window re-opens as FIFA mark 100 days to tournament kick-off

Ireland fans can still snap up tickets for this summer’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand - via FIFA’s Last-Minute Sales Phase.

The window opens today, marking 100 days until the tournament begins with a double-header, which includes Ireland’s opener against co-hosts Australia in Sydney.

That match was moved from the 42,500-capacity Sydney Football Stadium to Stadium Australia, which has almost double the capacity, due to demand for tickets.

Almost 650,000 tickets have been sold for the 64 matches since they first went on sale in October last year.

Today marks the beginning of an opportunity for fans who missed out in earlier windows to purchase single match passes, which start at €12 for adults and €6 for children.

They will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Ireland’s match with Australia on Thursday July 20 follows shortly after the tournament opener between New Zealand and Norway.

Fans must register for a FIFA Ticketing Account to be able to access tickets, which are available at FIFA.com/tickets.

As well as the clash with Australia in Sydney, Ireland face Canada in Perth on Wednesday July 26 and Nigeria in Brisbane on Monday July 31.
