BBC and ITV have confirmed their punditry teams for the upcoming World Cup coverage with a number of regular on-screen faces returning for the tournament.
The 2022 Qatar World Cup is now just 16 days away, with the home nation kicking off against Ecuador on Sunday, November 20. Liverpool and Everton will play their final Premier League games the weekend prior, with Jurgen Klopp's side hosting Southampton while the Toffees head to Bournemouth - both will be on November 12.
Several stars from both sides will be representing their nations in this unprecedented winter tournament, including the likes of Darwin Nunez, Jordan Pickford, Virgil van Dijk, Idrissa Gueye, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Amadou Onana. And both halves of Merseyside will see plenty of their favourite pundits during the tournament's coverage.

BBC's coverage of the tournament will be led by Match of the Day host Gary Lineker, with Gabby Logan, Mark Chapman and Kelly Cates also in the hosts chair throughout the six-weeks. Big-name punditry bookings include Alan Shearer, Rio Ferdinand, Micah Richards, Jurgen Klinsmann and Ian Rush - they will be joined by Pablo Zabaleta, Jermaine Jenas, Alex Scott, Danny Gabbidon, Laura Georges, Ashley Williams, Vincent Kompany, Didier Drogba, Mark Schwarzer and Gilberto Silva.
ITV, meanwhile, will have Mark Pougatch, Laura Woods and Seema Jaswal as hosts, while Sky Sports regulars Gary Neville, Roy Keane and Graeme Souness will be joined by the likes of Ian Wright, Karen Carney, Joe Cole, Eni Aluko, Nigel de Jong, Nadia Nadim and Hal Robson-Kanu. Everton midfielder Andros Townsend - currently sidelined for the long-term with an ACL injury - will be on co-commentary duties as well.
Townsend may not be the only current player on media duties, with sources in Qatar claiming that Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah will be part of the coverage on beIN Sports. Stad Doha is reporting that Salah will join fellow Premier League star Riyad Mahrez and 'be part' of the BeIN team providing on-screen analysis during the tournament
The 30-year-old will be without international commitments this winter as Egypt were denied a place at the first-ever winter World Cup by his former Liverpool team-mate Sadio Mane.
