RB Leipzig defender Josko Gvardiol has previously admitted that he “wants” to move to Liverpool one day - but he could be on the way to another Premier League side.
The Reds have been linked with a host of players as the January transfer window approaches. However, a move for centre-back Gvardiol has not been one that has been regularly spoken about in the rumour mill.
Recent reports have claimed that Chelsea are interested in signing the defender. Alfredo Pedulla has reported that the Stamford Bridge club are leading the race to sign the Croatia international.

Despite this, the player has seemingly admitted that he has a special connection to Liverpool. The 20-year-old has explained that a move to Anfield is something that he wants to achieve in the future.
Liverpool have five senior centre-back options currently at the club. Virgil van Dijk, Joel Matip, Joe Gomez and Ibrahima Konate are all regular starters, while Nat Phillips has been utilised when needed.
"Since I was a little boy, my dad and I watched Liverpool matches, and I grew up with only them,” Gvardiol is quoted telling Croatian news outlet 24Sata in the past.
“When I took football more seriously, I started following them, and I definitely want the Premier League and Liverpool.”
