Team India

Mumbai: The BCCI chairman of selectors Ajit Agarkar and captain Rohit Sharma on Tuesday announced, from Pallekele (Sri Lanka), the 15-member team that will represent India at the World Cup.

KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, and Suryakumar Yadav have secured spots in India's World Cup 2023 squad. Notably, Sanju Samson, Yuzvendra Chahal, Prasidh Krishna, and Ravichandran Ashwin have missed out on selections.

This World Cup holds immense significance for India, as it presents a golden opportunity to secure the coveted 50-over championship, having come agonizingly close in the previous two editions.

India team for World Cup 2023: Rohit Sharma (c), Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Suryakumar Yadav, KL Rahul, Ishan Kishan, Hardik Pandya (vc), Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj. (with Agency inputs)
