World champion Renfrew dancers will be hosting their first major performance since their prestigious win at a free show at Braehead’s leisure complex XSite.
Jazzle Dazzle dance group are preparing to wow crowds this weekend for the first time since they were crowned champs at the 2023 Allstar World Championships in Orlando, Florida.
The team won an incredible four medals throughout the elite dance competition, earning three golds for their mini jazz, senior jazz, and senior pom performance, as well as a silver medal for senior lyrical.
Xsite, in Kings Inch Road, Renfrew will now play host to the award-winning dance troupe who are set to entertain customers with an energetic performance on Saturday at 1pm.
Bosses at XSite Braehead are also treating the entire team to a pizza party at Pizza Express within XSite, as a warm welcome home reward for all their hard work and dedication.
Jazzle Dazzle Studios is a BATD (British Association of Teachers of Dancing) affiliated competitive school of dancing and led by a group of talented and highly-qualified teachers.
Bruce Harley, centre manager at XSite Braehead, said: “To even qualify for a world championship competition is an amazing achievement but to go a step further and win multiple gold and silver medals is just incredible, especially for such a young group of kids.
“We are delighted to be hosting Jazzle Dazzle at XSite this Saturday, and we look forward to welcoming them into the centre for this special performance and then for a delicious meal.”
Michelle Holmes and Jackie Bryceland are the two dedicated coaches who helped the team to victory.
Michelle said: “We would like to say a big thanks to XSite Braehead for providing the team the opportunity to perform for our local
community.”
Jackie added: “After returning from the competition in America, we’re excited to bring the award-winning routines home and perform all four again.”
As well as completing examinations and participating in competitions, Jazzle Dazzle also provide friends and families with an annual dance display and are heavily involved in the local community.
The dance troupe participate in Renfrew Gala Day and take part in visits to schools, clubs, and older people’s homes in a bid to entertain as many residents of Renfrew as possible.
