World Central Kitchen’s relief team is currently in southern California to provide meals to first responders and families affected by the wildfires in the Los Angeles area. The Washington, DC-based non-profit organization has been mobilizing its relief team members across the Los Angeles region to offer 'comforting meals' to those impacted by the ongoing wildfires.
World Central Kitchen, which was founded by chef Jose Andres, is known for its efforts in fighting hunger globally. The team's presence in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood has been crucial, with members like Trish Engel highlighting the tireless work of first responders in containing the fires. Families have been forced to evacuate their homes, particularly in areas like the Topanga Canyon, as the Palisades Fire continues to ravage the region.
As per reports, the Palisades Fire has already burned more than 11,000 acres of land and destroyed over 1,000 structures. The situation remains challenging for both the residents and the emergency personnel working diligently to combat the wildfires and ensure the safety of the community.
