The World Central Kitchen (WCK) has identified the seven aid workers who tragically lost their lives in an Israeli strike in central Gaza. The victims were John Chapman, James (Jim) Henderson, James Kirby, Jacob Flickinger, Damian Sobol, Lalzawmi (Zomi) Frankcom, and Saifeddin Issam. These individuals were part of the WCK team, with roles ranging from security to relief work.

According to WCK CEO Erin Gore, these individuals are hailed as heroes for their dedication to humanitarian efforts. The aid workers were returning from a mission when the strike occurred, resulting in their untimely deaths. Their memories, characterized by smiles, laughter, and voices, will forever be cherished by the organization.

In response to the incident, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have acknowledged the gravity of the mistake and stated that there was no intention to harm the aid workers. The IDF has initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the strike.
