'World at his feet' - Everton squad members make big Anthony Gordon predictions

Everton star Anthony Gordon has been backed to have a bright future at the club by teammates Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Ben Godfrey.

The 21-year-old has been a standout performer for the Blues this season in what has been a turbulent campaign. He's scored three Premier League goals in 24 appearances so far this term.

Calvert-Lewin and Godfrey aren't the first to heap praise on the academy graduate, but they insist he has 'the world at his feet'.

"He has got a great attitude, a willingness to learn and a willingness to work," Dominic Calvert-Lewin told Sky Sports. "He is an honest, hard-working lad and he lives properly. I think he believes in himself as well.

"I see a lot of myself in him when I was his age. He is not overly confident, just confident in his ability and he knows what he can do. He has bags of ability so I think if he keeps his head down and keeps working hard, he has the world at his feet."

Gordon featured in both of England U21's Euro qualifiers this international break against Andorra and Albania and will be key for Frank Lampard's side in the run-in. Defender Godfrey admitted the youngster is 'difficult to play against'.

He added: "He is quick and skilful, he is a great guy as well. He works hard every day and he has got a bright future. He has got everything.

"He has that football confidence in his own ability that he should have because he is a great player and difficult to play against for full-backs."
