On the night of the Baltimore bridge collapse, a worker with Brawner Builders made a last-minute shift change that he believes saved his life. Moises Diaz, who communicated via text, mentioned that he had worked alongside all the victims of the bridge collapse and speculated that they would have likely been on their break at the time of the incident early Tuesday morning.
Providing some context, Brawner Builders Executive Vice President Jeffrey Pritzker revealed that seven employees were on the bridge during the collapse, with only one surviving the tragic event. Pritzker expressed deep sorrow, stating, 'These were wonderful young men. They were doing a tough job. These guys were hardworking wonderful people and now they’re gone.'
