Former Nottingham Forest striker Kevin Campbell believes the Reds have got their transfer strategy bang on this summer.
Much has been made of Forest's approach to the transfer market this season, with the Reds' 20th and perhaps 21st signings likely to come through the door before the 11pm deadline this evening (Thursday).
Speaking on Sky Sports News, Campbell praised the work Cooper and owner Evangelos Marinakis are doing, avoiding a model that has seen so many other teams relegated from the Premier League. He praised the work the club are doing and also gave his thoughts on the signing of Wolves defender Willy Boly.

"We’ve seen teams stick to the model ‘we’re going to keep the same lads who brought us up’, said Campbell, who played for Forest between 1995 and 1998. "The majority of the time you go straight back down.
"It does not work in the Premier League, so what Steve Cooper’s done, he’s met with the owner - you’ve got to give the owner some real credit - they’ve gone out and worked it out. 'We’re going to add the quality and find the balance because they believe in the manager so much'.
"When you consider all the players that have come in and still being competitive, not so last night but that can happen at Man City. Their main concern is getting the top end of the pitch right.
"Willy Boly is a good signing, well experienced so finding the cohesion, balance is one thing. Getting the firepower because that’s the only part where they let themselves down. They’re going to be alright I think, that home form when the fans get going it’s a tough place to go.
"One thing I do know about Steve Cooper is that he is upgrading the staff and knowhow of that Nottingham Forest squad because when you look at the squad who came up, there was only a couple of players who’ve played at the top level."
