Work has begun on a gas leak near a school in Nottingham. Sherwin Road from the junction of Hungerton Street to the railway bridge at the side of Dunkirk School was closed on Wednesday, September 7.
The work, which is being carried out by Cadent Gas, is not expected to be completed until Friday, September 16. In a roadworks bulletin issued on Wednesday, Nottingham City Council said minor delays should be expected.
Photos from the location on the morning of Thursday, September 8, show a large section of road has been fenced off whilst Cadent Gas carry out the work. Road closure signs and a number of cones can also be seen.
