The first homes on a new Nottinghamshire development are due to be completed by the end of the year, it has been announced. Work is set to begin on plans for 60 new homes at Hulks Farm, Bramcote, after planning permission was granted.
The homes will be a range of four, three, two and one bedrooms, and it is expected the development will take two years to complete. The site is located on the derelict farmland off Sidings Lane and Coventry Lane.
The site is currently home to old farm buildings and outhouses. The farm was obtained from a private land owner, and on completion Keepmoat will carry out a period of remedial works prior to delivering the homes.

On the development, 30% of the homes will be allocated as affordable homes, and of these, 30% will be available under the government-backed First Homes scheme. This scheme allows for local and key-worker first-time buyers to get on to the property ladder with homes available to them at a discounted price.
Plans for the development also include the retention of greenspaces that will result in a 27% net gain in biodiversity, as well as the regeneration of an existing tree-lined pond.
