Work on a new 'luxury' bingo hall in Kilmarnock is now underway.
The former Gala Bingo, and more recently Buzz Bingo, is in the process of being turned into Club 3000.
And in a bid to drum up membership for the new Portland Street venue, Club 3000 has opened a shop in the town centre.
Based at 43 King Street, the store is open from 10am to 5pm every day apart from Sundays.
No opening date has been given for the new hall but bingo bosses are hopeful of welcoming customers in early summer.
The shop selling memberships will remain open until the refit has been completed and the new venue has opened.
Oliver Fraser, manager of Kilmarnock commented: “We are excited to open up the shop and cannot wait to welcome customers in to meet the team and talk through the plans for the club whilst signing up. Come and be one of the first to join!”
Club 3000, described as the largest independent bingo operator in the UK, will provide a much-needed jobs boost to the town with 40 roles created in the town centre.
Buzz Bingo pulled out of Kilmarnock in July 2020 as a series of employers wrestled with the financial fallout from the coronavirus pandemic.
Club 3000 Bingo has six clubs in Scotland with £3 million set to be injected into the prime Kilmarnock venue.
