A man has died a day after he and two others were injured in a pallet collapse at a Woolworths distribution centre in Sydney's west.

The 37-year-old man was taken to hospital in a critical condition after being treated by paramedics following the incident in Minchinbury on Tuesday afternoon.

Police revealed on Wednesday they had been informed the man had died.

The two other people were taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

All three were employed by Woolworths Group's supply chain and logistics business Primary Connect.

A spokesperson said the business is supporting the man's family and co-operating with investigations by police and SafeWork NSW.

"We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that took place at our Sydney Regional Distribution Centre yesterday afternoon, following which one of our team members has passed away," the Primary Connect spokesperson said.

"Our thoughts and condolences are with our team member's friends and family at this difficult time and we are currently supporting the family and our two team members who were also injured in the incident."

The distribution centre remains closed out of respect for the workers and their families.

The spokesperson said there may a supply impact to some products in certain Sydney stores over the next day or two and thanked customers for their understanding.
