A family has paid tribute to 'a wonderful mum and loving wife' who died after a car flipped on its roof during in a crash in Warrington. Hilda Broughton, 66, was taken to hospital in a critical condition after the smash at a roundabout on Ordnance Avenue, Birchwood.
She died in hospital two days later. Her 68-year-old husband, who was driving the car, is recovering from serious injuries in hospital. No other vehicles were involved.

In a statement released through Cheshire Police Mrs Broughton's family said: "We as a family are truly devastated at the tragic loss of my mum. She was not only a wonderful mum but also a loving wife to my dad, a doting nannie to her grandchildren and a great friend.
"We would like to give our sincere thanks to the emergency services who helped my parents at the scene of the accident. We are also grateful to the hospital staff who cared for mum and who continue to care for my dad at this time.”
Emergency services, including an air ambulance, were called to the scene shortly after 10am on August 30. Anyone with information about the incident should contact Cheshire Police online or via 101 quoting IML 1355055.
