England women inspired a nation with their remarkable Euro 2022 win at Wembley in the summer.
Victory in a major tournament sparked a huge level of interest around the country - and now all eyes are on the FIFA Women's World Cup. The tournament heads to Australia and New Zealand in the summer of 2023, being played between July 20 and August 20.
England will start amongst the favourites after their recent success as they look to win the tournament for the first time. But they will face stern competition amongst the 31 other teams after the tournament was expanded from 24 teams.
The Lionesses will face China, Denmark and the Group B play-off winner, either Chile, Senegal or Haiti, after the draw was made for the group stage. Being placed in Group D means they will be based in Australia.
Sarina Wiegman's side will face the play-off winners on Saturday, July 22 in Brisbane before facing Denmark on Friday, July 28 in Sydney and China on Tuesday, August 1 in Adelaide.
