Iga Swiatek and Ons Jabeur clash in the women’s US Open final at Flushing Meadows tonight.

It is the fifth career meeting between the current reigning world No1 and world No5, with plenty of excitement building over a contest that could genuinely go either way.

Swiatek saw her incredible 37-match winning run ended at Wimbledon, but now looks to have full momentum once more after further uncharacteristic defeats in Warsaw, Toronto and Cincinnati, vanquishing Jasmine Paolini, Sloane Stephens and Lauren Davis in straight sets before harder-fought wins over Jessica Pegula and Aryna Sabalenka.

Looking to halt the 2020 and 2022 French Open champion’s march to a hat-trick of Grand Slam singles titles is Tunisia’s Jabeur, who is contesting her second successive major final after blowing a one-set lead against Elena Rybakina in the Wimbledon showpiece earlier this summer.

The 28-year-old easily saw off Caroline Garcia in the semis after earlier defeats of Ajla Tomljanovic, Veronika Kudermetova, Shelby Rogers, Elizabeth Mandlik and Madison Brengle.

Here’s all the information you need to know about tonight’s women’s US Open final.

Date, venue and UK start time

The women’s US Open final takes place on Saturday September 10, 2022 at Flushing Meadows in New York.

The action at Arthur Ashe Stadium is due to begin at 9pm BST this evening.

US Open final prediction

Swiatek to win an entertaining contest via a close and exciting third-set decider, becoming a three-time Grand Slam champion in the process.

Swiatek vs Jabeur h2h record

These two players have met four times previously on the WTA Tour, with the current head-to-head record tied at two wins apiece.

Swiatek won in straight sets 6-2 6-2 in the final of the Italian Open in Rome back in May, while Jabeur triumphed in the previous pair of meetings at last year’s Cincinnati Open and in the last-16 of the 2021 Wimbledon Championships.

However, Swiatek came out on top in their first ever meeting at the 2019 Citi Open in Washington.

US Open final odds

Swiatek to win: 8/15

Jabeur to win: 6/4
