The Women’s Euro 2022 semi-final line-up is now complete, with England among the sides battling it out for a place at Wembley.
The Lionesses will continue their quest for a first European Championship title this week following their dramatic quarter-final victory over Spain. Sarina Wiegman’s side had to do it the hard way, fighting back from 1-0 down with just minutes remaining, before Georgia Stanway fired them into this week’s semi-finals.
They’re joined by Germany, Sweden and France, and all three of those sides didn’t have it much easier. Germany were the most comfortable of the quarter-final victors, seeing off Austria 2-0 thanks to goals from Lina Magull and Alexandra Popp.

Sweden had looked set to be heading for extra time against Belgium before Linda Sembrant’s 92nd-minute winner set up a semi-final date with the Lionesses. France, meanwhile, were made to work for their victory against defending champions the Netherlands, with Eve Perisset’s penalty in extra time finally seeing them set up a meeting with Germany.
Attentions now turn to this week’s semi-finals, with a place at Wembley now potentially just 90 minutes away for all four sides. Here’s what you need to know about the Women’s Euro 2022 semi-finals.
