Australia has maintained its 100 per cent record at the Women's Cricket World Cup, with a tight six-wicket win over India in Auckland.
The win ensures that Australia makes it through to the semi-finals of the tournament with five wins from five matches.
India scored 7-277 from their 50 overs, led by a patient 68 from captain Mithali Raj, and 57 off 47 balls from all-rounder Harmanpreet Kaur.
The Australian side looked like it had the chase in hand for long periods, but in the end they only clinched victory with three balls to spare.
Australia had an excellent 121-run opening partnership between Rachael Haynes (43) and Alyssa Healy (72) before both fell inside 10 balls.
Then Lanning came together with Ellyse Perry and the pair combined for another century partnership to put Australia in the driving seat.
Then with nine overs left, and Australia 2-225, rain stopped play. When they resumed 20 minutes later, Perry departed soon after for 28 when she hit a ball straight to cover.
Lanning kept things going with Beth Mooney, but she was dismissed for 97 in the penultimate over.
Mooney's experience told, however, and two fours off the first three balls of the final over from Jhulan Goswami saw Australia home.
