A resourceful fashionista has taken to social media to showcase a handy hack which means people won't have to dig out their receipt and head back to the shops if they want to return an ill-fitting item of clothing.
A woman called Abby has demonstrated how customers can turn their tight-fitting jeans in the space of just ten minutes, without possessing any particular skills. And vitally, shoppers don't need to spend any money whatsoever to get that extra comfy fit.
Abby recently demonstrated how she was able to turn her cosy size eight jeans into a size twelve, and all she needed was a showerhead and approximately ten minutes of free time, reports the Mirror.
Taking to TikTok, where she goes by the username @its_abby_abigail, Abby can be seen jumping into the shower wearing the jeans, then aiming the shower head directly at the denim until they were completely soaked.
She then squats and stretches to loosen up the denim.
Air-drying her jeans, Abby then shows viewers the results, but not before admitting that she 'almost cried' when she initially couldn't sit in the too-tight denim, showed how her jeans now fitted her beautifully, with enough room to tuck her knitted jumper into the waistline.
She said in the clip: "I bought five pairs of the same jeans that were all too small so I tried this. Best trick ever. [..] Honestly, it stretched them too much the first time I tried, air dry by the way."
The woman added: "I could hardly button them before doing this. After I was able to even sit at my desk all day, huge difference."
According to Abby, she wore the soggy jeans for around ten minutes, using warm rather than cold water, before leaving them to air dry for two days.
Despite having some reservations about how it might feel to wear wet jeans, many of her followers are keen to give the trick a go for themselves.
Another applauded: "Omg I have jeans that are too small but I can’t return them I’ll have to try this."
