A Brisbane high school employee has been charged with child grooming offences.
Police allege the 28-year-old Paradise Point woman met a boy through Indooroopilly State High School.
The woman allegedly had contact with the boy outside of school on a number of occasions from July 2022 and a complaint was made in February.
The woman has been charged with two counts of grooming a child under 16 and one count of indecent treatment of a child under 16.
A spokesperson for the Department of Education said the safety and wellbeing of students is its top priority.
"The department acknowledges that the allegations are serious and upsetting for all involved," the spokesperson said in a statement.
"We have been providing extensive wraparound support to the school community in question, and we will continue to do so."
In a letter to the school community, executive principal Michael Hornby said for legal reasons he was unable to provide details about the allegations.
"In that respect, I ask you to consider refraining from providing commentary about the issue on social media or other forums," he said.
Support services have been made available to those who need it.
The woman is expected to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court on May 2.
