A woman who tragically died in a three-car crash in Lanarkshire has been named by police.
This afternoon, officers confirmed that 66-year-old Shamim Rashid from Bellshill sadly lost her life.
Emergency services raced to the scene of the crash on the A725 Bellshill Bypass, last Tuesday, August 30, and the road had to be shut down in both directions.

Police are continuing their enquiries into the incident.
Sergeant Gemma Blackadder of the Lanarkshire Police Division today said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of Shamim.
“Our enquiries into the crash are ongoing and anyone with information or dashcam footage should contact officers on 101 quoting incident 2323 of 30 August, 2022.”
