A woman who accidentally fell asleep with her front door open, captured a person’s kind actions on her doorbell camera.
A video was shared on TikTok by @Iamashleychaney last week that captured a man’s heroic act of kindness during the middle of the night. The TikTok was captioned: “I love humans. And when security camera footage documents the best of them!”
The video has since racked up over 12 million views. Ashley explained: “I've been stressed lately and accidentally went to sleep with my front door open. Listen to this sweet stranger close it for me at 3am”.

In the clip, the helpful stranger waves at the doorbell camera then walks up to the door saying: "I'm closing your door." He then adds: "You guys have a lovely night, good morning," before waving again at the camera and heading back on his way.
Thousands of people rushed to comment on the man’s act of kindness, with many saying that their 'faith in humanity' has been 'restored'. One user added: “Things like this restore my faith in society. These people don’t realise they are the literal glue holding the world together with their kindness."
A second commented: “Guardian angel stopping by” and another said: “So kind. And the fact that he whispered was just so adorable!"
Meanwhile, several others couldn't help but point out the man's appearance, stating how he looks 'identical' to American singer Jack Antonoff. One user joked: "Thank you Jack Antonoff”, while another added: "Is this not Jack Antonoff?"
