A young woman who died in a car crash on Christmas Day has been named as Maria Carolina Do Nascimento Migel as four men have been arrested.
The 22-year-old was named by Metropolitan Police as the woman in the car involved in the deadly crash in Edgware, North West London.
Police officers had tried to get a car to stop at about 3.45am but it drove off without a pursuit.
A short time later police were informed the same car was involved in a crash with another car.
Police say that those in the car then fled the scene on foot.
The London Ambulance Service attended but, despite their best efforts Maria sadly died at the scene.
Her family have been informed.
A man, the driver of the second car, suffered a head injury – his condition is not serious.
Two men, aged 29, and a 21-year-old man were arrested on December 25, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
A 32-year-old man was arrested on December 27, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and failing to stop at the scene of a collision.
They have all since been bailed pending further enquiries.
