Woman who died following Stirling disturbance named as Michele Rutherford (54)

A Stirling woman who died following a disturbance in Raploch this week has been named as 54-year-old Michele Rutherford.

Ms Rutherford died in hospital after the incident in Craighall Street on Tuesday morning.

Police were called shortly after 11am on Tuesday, March 7.

Ms Rutherford was taken by ambulance to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, in Glasgow, where she passed away.

Two other women, aged 29 and 58, were also injured in the incident.

A 32-year-old woman is set to appear at Stirling Sheriff Court today (Thursday) in connection.

Detective Inspector Scott Roxburgh said: “Our thoughts very much remain with Michele’s loved ones at this time, along with everyone else involved in this incident.”
