Woman who claimed to be Madeleine McCann singing in latest video as she files report with US police

The polish woman who claimed to be missing Madeleine McCann has revealed via the Instagram account of her spokesperson that she has filed a report with police in the US where she is currently staying.

Julia Wendell, 21, who maintains she is the missing British girl that disappeared in Portugal in 2007, has appeared on medium Dr Fia Johansson's Instagram account in recent days to share updates on her claim after her own accounts were either removed or deleted.

On Tuesday, both Julia and Dr Johansson revealed they had jetted off to Los Angeles after a series of stories prior to this indicated that they were in an airport somewhere.

Although it has not been determined what the pair are up to in the US, one possible reason the pair have travelled to the US is to conduct a DNA test, with one of the multiple stories posted pointing to her mother having blocked her on the phone and reportedly refusing a DNA test.

Now, in their most recent update posted to Dr Johansson's Instagram stories, Julia can be seen playing a grand piano and singing a sombre song, the video is overlaid with text which reads: “I’m so happy to see her face smiling.”

In the next story, she continues playing the piano, with the text reading: “She has a heart full of love and kindness”. Another story says: “Music was the only way to deal with pain. She is a survivor.”

These videos are followed by a series of stories that state the pair have officially filed a police report regarding threats made online.

“We've officially filed a report with law enforcement taking into account all the threats made online, documenting every account and individual associated with disseminating threats and falsehoods regarding Julia's case and status,” the Instagram story said.

“We've shared every email and social media account that's communicated directly with Julia, not threatening or attempting to lie about their connection to her family/Madeleine's family in order to lure her to their country.

“As with threats of this magnitude, US police are taking her case seriously and looking into all information/accounts with caution and deep concern.

“Julia is safe and she is happy. She wants to say thank you to everyone that has shown her compassion, understanding, and support since this all began.

“Having the police involved in her case now is good news. We also will share some positive updates shortly. Thank you all for your care and positive thoughts for Julia!”
