Woman wears fake engagement ring after becoming sick of men pestering her on nights out

A woman who became sick of her girls' nights out being interrupted by men approaching her and her friend says they've both now started wearing engagement rings in a bid to ward off potential pests.

Influencer Mikaela Testa recently headed out to Bali, Indonesia with some of her friends, a place she declares to be "the best place to party in the whole world".

Not wanting any potential drama spoiling her fun time with pals, the 23-year-old decided to make sure they weren't being bothered all night long while out at a nightclub, so opted for the fake engagement ring hack.

In a video detailing their night on the town, Mikaela, who goes by the TikTok username @mikaelatesta, told her followers: "Me and my friend get so harassed by men whenever we go out to a bar, a nightclub, anything, so we bought fake engagement rings just so that we can hold up our hands and say ''f*** off'."

The Australian OnlyFans model added: "And because men respect other men way more, if you're engaged to another man, they're just going to leave you alone without any drama."

Footage shows Mikaela and her pal enjoying their evening together, fake engagement rings sparkling away.

Mikaela's followers agreed that, in an ideal world, this sort of measure absolutely shouldn't be needed, as men in nightclubs should just simply respect a woman's wishes whether they're engaged or not.

They completely understood the logic behind the ring trick, however, and vowed to try it for themselves during their own next big night out.

One admiring person commented: "That's actually such a good idea, I'm getting a ring right now."

A second individual wrote: "Ms girl, link where you got the engagement rings from - it's a great idea!!"

A third approved: "The ring idea always works!! Really good travel tip!!!"

A fourth laughed: "This is the best thing about being married."
