Woman tragically dies after falling unconscious at busy retail park

A woman has tragically died after falling unconscious at a retail park. Emergency services raced to The Linkway, which runs through the Middlebrook Retail & Leisure Park in Bolton, at around 2pm on Sunday, November 20.

When police arrived, the woman was already being given CPR at the scene. She was rushed to hospital but sadly pronounced dead shortly after arriving.

Authorities are not currently treating her death as suspicious, Manchester Evening News reports.

A Greater Manchester Police spokesperson said: "Greater Manchester Police were called to CPR taking place in a public area of a woman at around 2pm on Sunday 20 November 2022 near to The Linkway, Bolton.

"Officers attended to support at the scene and despite the best attempts of emergency services she was sadly pronounced deceased a short time later after being taken to hospital.

"There are believed to be no suspicious circumstances around the sudden death."
