Woman tracks down stolen car to Dublin after car thief triggers giveaway sign

A woman has appealed to the public for help after her car was stolen and she received a giveaway sign of its whereabouts.

Nikita Doran's silver Volkswagen Polo was stolen from outside her home in Tullow, Co Carlow, last month.

However, she realised it was probably driven to Dublin as she recently received a toll charge from the M50 motorway.

According to Nikita, her car was stolen from her apartment block car park at around 8:30am on Sunday, November 20.

"Someone knows something. Also [they] broke into my home and robbed personal items, right before Christmas as well people have no morals or respect anymore," she added.

Nikita shared the image of the car and asked for anyone with information to please get in contact.

The car is a silver Volkswagen Polo and its registration plates read 11-D-60067.

A garda spokesman told Dublin Live : "Gardaí are investigating the theft of a vehicle outside a residence in Tullow, Co. Carlow in the early hours of the 20th November 2022.
