Woman told she looks like Homer Simpson explains £570 'lip flip' procedure

A woman who was told she looks like Homer Simpson after undergoing a 'lip flip' has explained how the £570 procedure can have side effects. The non-surgical skin treatment tightens and plumps the skin and is apparently popular with celebrities, BirminghamLive reports.

Jade, from the US, explained on her TikTok account how the treatment left her with large, brown burn marks around her mouth. She uploaded a video on the platform explaining that the burns are only temporary, however.

She said: "This is my video explaining what the hell is on my face because when I do tell them, they don’t know what I’m talking about. So this is me killing all of those questions in one video. What this is, is these are all little dots, little burns. It's like a little machine laser thing. It burns your flesh, I could smell it. It was a great smell.

"Basically what it’s going to do, is when it heals, it’s going to tighten my skin and flip my lip upwards, making my lips appear bigger, because they will be bigger. It’s a lip flip basically. They do the same thing with a breast lift and crow’s feet. It’s f**king awesome."

She added that the final results will only be seen in eight to 12 weeks. Many TikTok users were stunned by the current results, though, commenting that Jade looked like Homer Simpson.

Marie Pax said: "Homer Simpsonfication." T agreed: "Kinda like Homer Simpson with a 3 oclock shadow." Marissa commented: "HOMER SIMPSON." And Fabian added: "Homer."

Not all comments were negative, however. Although some people said they wouldn't want to deal with the side effect, others said they found the procedure "actually really cool". Ktkatastrophe commented: "I’ve heard this procedure works WONDERS! Like all celebs get it." Raq added: "omg i got this done too it works sooo well i actually got it done a second time a year later so worth."

The viral video has racked up an impressive 1.4million views and 172,200 likes so far.
