A woman and a teenage girl have been found dead inside a home, with police forensics and detectives combing the scene.
Officers made the discovery on Thursday morning after attending a home at Marsfield in Sydney's northwest, on a report of concerns for welfare.
Forensic officers were seen carrying evidence bags on Thursday afternoon, stepping over police tape across the driveway of the two-storey brick home on Menzies Road.
A swing set and netted trampoline could be seen in the home's front yard as detectives moved about the scene, one of them inspecting what appeared to be a surveillance camera.
The two people whose bodies were found inside the home are yet to be formally identified, but they are believed to be a woman in her 50s and a teenage girl.
A crime scene has been established in the quiet suburban area, with police awaiting a post-mortem examination as they investigate the deaths.
