A woman has used her DIY hacks to turn her drab bathroom into a modern showpiece for just £224.
Mel Hamblett, 33, decided to upgrade her bathroom with vibrant features inside her home in Gloucester, Gloucestershire.
Mel has shared the the previous condition of the bathroom, which appeared to be very ordinary and outdated, with the walls painted in white and then subsequently brown.
Feeling the current look didn't complement the aesthetic of the rest of her updated house, Mel decided it was time for a complete makeover.
With the use of timber, paint and artwork she created a vibrant restroom.
Mel believes she has saved herself thousands as the materials were all sourced from a variety of local outlets.
She also used stick on tiles, primer, shelf and mirror hanging hook all already owned and repurposed.
The whole transformation costs Mel £224.

Mel said: "To save money I started to learn DIY skills during lockdown and embraced colour in our previously grey and magnolia new build home.
"In May 2021, I started updating our downstairs bathroom which I had badly decorated on numerous occasions before really finding my feet with DIY.
"I documented the process on Instagram, learning how to panel and paper for the first time and transforming the space from drab and brown to a fabulous and funky leopard print loo!
"It's not perfect but it still makes me smile every time I open the door and I'm very proud of the skills I learned while transforming it.
"The transformation took about two weeks in total, but with working full-time and a young family I had to fit it around family life in evenings and weekends."
