Cars were stuck in queuing traffic at Switch Island this afternoon after a crash involving two cars.
Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service confirmed crews were called at 11.47am and arrived at 11.52am where police were already at the scene.
Crews arrived at an RTC involving two vehicles, both of which remained on all four wheels and no one was trapped.

Fire crews ensured the scene was safe and liaised with Merseyside Police.
Precautionary checks of the occupants of the vehicles were carried out by North West Ambulance Service, with NWAS confirming that one woman in her 40s had been taken to hospital.
MFRS left the scene at 12.49pm.
Merseyside Police also confirmed officers were called to a crash involving a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a 4x4 Mercedes Benz at 11.45am on Dunnings Bridge Road.
No injuries were reported with both drivers remaining at the scene.
Switch Island towards the M57 remained closed whilst emergency services were at the scene but has now reopened with both vehicles having been recovered.
A Merseyside Police spokesperson said: "At around 11.45am today (Monday 24 January) officers were called to a report of a collision involving a white Mercedes Sprinter van and a 4x4 Mercedes Benz on Dunnings Bridge Road.
"No injuries were reported and a both drivers remained at the scene.
"Switch Island towards the M57 was closed whilst emergency services were at the scene but has since reopened after both vehicles were recovered.

A MFRS spokesperson said: "Crews were alerted at 11.47am and on scene at 11.52am. One fire engine attended.
"On arrival crews found two vehicles had been involved in a collision on Ormskirk Road.
"Both vehicles were on all four wheels and no one was trapped.
"Fire crews made the scene safe and liaised with Merseyside Police who were already on scene.
"Precautionary checks of the vehicle occupants were carried out by North West Ambulance Service.
"MFRS left the scene at 12.49pm."
