A woman has shared her anger after she had no heating in her rented home for two months over winter.
Jolyne Joestar from Carlton, Nottingham, was living in temperatures of between zero and three degrees after her boiler stopped working on December 10 last year.
It was so cold she said that one night a glass of water even froze over, reports the Nottingham Post.
The 23-year-old said that she contacted her letting agent, Leaders, the day after the boiler broke down asking them to have a look at it.
She said that a contractor visited the property on New Year's Eve without giving them any notice, and that they were both away so work could not be carried out.
A contractor visited the address again in January, yet the boiler still has not been fixed.
Ms Joestar said: "I think it is absolutely disgraceful to be honest.
"They have kept pushing us off every time, giving us false promises about what they will do or when they will do it.
"I am lucky enough that I have got my dad who gave us an electric heater - so I have got a small one in my room.
"And I spent Christmas with my parents. But is is freezing cold - as a general rule the house is about zero to three degrees."
She added: "My flatmate once left a glass of water overnight in her room - and it froze."
Ms Joestar said that she moved into the property in October last year, and is now planning to leave as soon as her contract ends.
She added: "It has been a nightmare. I want to move out as soon as possible really."
In response to her claims, a spokesperson for the letting agent Leaders in Nottingham said: “Leaders is aware of the boiler issue in this property.
"We are sorry to hear that our tenant was without a working boiler for so long and are working closely with the tenant, landlord and maintenance team to repair the boiler as quickly as possible.”
