There's an unwritten rule that everyone follows the same technique when loading the dishwasher to maximise its cleaning ability. If you swerve the technique of placing the kitchenware in its precise order, then it's safe to say that disaster will strike.
Otherwise, how else are you going to have your cutlery and plates sparkling clean? Breaking the trend, Mia Freedman has shared her 'dishwasher Tetris' technique online and people can't agree whether it's 'anxiety-inducing' or 'satisfying'.
Taking to her Facebook page @MiaFreedmanmamamia, Mia has raked in over 850 responses on the post with people rushing to comment on her controversial habit.
Sharing a photo of the inside of her dishwasher, Mia's kitchenware was spontaneously placed amongst the drawers rather than in neat order.
The social media user wrote in her post: "There are two types of people who own dishwashers:
"People who feel passionately about how they should be stacked and those who could not give a single f***.
"If you, like me, live with the first type of person but are yourself, the second type, you will appreciate how much I have enjoyed being alone in my house for a few days and hurling things willy nilly into my dishwasher.
"Honestly, it's the best holiday I've ever had," she added. "Dishwasher anarchy is a vibe."
People flocked to the comment section of the viral post - while some admitted they 'loved' seeing the technique, others weren't convinced.
One person wrote: "This makes me soooo happy and it is an ENTIRELY satisfactory vibe end result = clean dishes either way."
A second agreed: "Love it!!! I figure as long as it is in the dishwasher somewhere with the door closed, it will come out clean."
Meanwhile, a third said: "Am a type one - I love playing dishwasher Tetris so it all fits in (not even slightly apologetic!)."
"Hmm um so I can't see any issue with these photos. Looks pretty neat to me! I must be type two - extreme," a fourth joked. "Maybe this is why I'm single."
Another penned: "Haha. Definitely can relate to your life. I'm always getting into trouble for how I pack it. Care factor nil. Haha."
On the other hand, a different Facebook user wrote: "That pic of all the randomly placed mugs is giving me anxiety."
"I can't look at it! It gives me anxiety! I am the first, my son is the latter. The struggle is real in my household," someone else agreed.
