A woman has sent people into a spin on TikTok with an unusual question about their earlobes.
Kerri Roma, who shares her videos online as @roma_0490, asked her 405,000 followers on the app if they'd ever noticed an odd smell after touching their earlobes. It came after being shocked to discover that her own earlobes had a 'disgusting' smell.
Kerri also tested it out on her mum, adding that they didn't smell as bad as hers. The video now has more than 500,000 views, 20,000 likes, and more than 600 comments as other users discuss their own earlobes.

In the video, captioned 'Anyone have this problem? Because I'm shook! #smellyears', Kerri asks: "I've got a genuine question right, I've just rubbed my ears and then sniffed my hand and it smells horrible.
"Then I made my mum smell it and it was horrible. It was stinking. So she rubbed hers and I smelled hers, and hers was smelly as well but it wasn't as smelly as mine. What I want to know is, do yous have smelly ears? Because that's like death, death in my ear."

People in the comments were quick to react, with most people providing an explanation as to where the smell comes from. One person commented: "It’s ur piercings lol" followed by a smiley face emoji, and another person commented: "it's your ear piercings, it's all the sweat and oils mixes together getting foosty in your hole" with a crying laughing emoji.
Some said they never suffer from this issue, with one person saying: "No, as I change and clean my earrings and the piercings", and another posting: "Mine smell lovely".
Others were just pleased to not be alone with the issue. One person commented: "thank god I thought it was just me!!!" and another said: "yep, thought it was just me" with crying laughing emojis.
