Woman shares three spots we always forget to clean - with one major culprit 'neglected'

When you give your house a top-to-bottom clean, it can give you such a buzz. It smells fresh, looks neat, tidy, and organised, and it can make you feel like your property is brand new. As spring has finally sprung, you may be considering undertaking your very own big clean - and one home whizz has made a video to remind you of the places you shouldn't be forgetting when scrubbing away.

Lucy Kalice, who posts on TikTok as @lucykalice, captioned her handy video: "Places we forget to clean in our house. The toothbrush holder gets neglected the most", followed by a crying face.

Lucy recommended cleaning under the kitchen cupboards... (@lucykalice/Tiktok)
...and the windowsills (@lucykalice/Tiktok)

In the beginning of the video, Lucy can be seen putting marigolds on, and over the top of the video it says: "Three places we forget to clean."

She can then be seen spraying a bacteria-killing spray under the kitchen cupboards - which are out of sight, out of mind for many. Lucy can be seen wiping them with a cloth to ensure they're spick and span.

She can then be seen removing candles from the windowsill as she states the importance of remembering to clean them. They can be easy to forget, especially if you have a lot of things on them, but it is important to take things off and give the window a good once over.

And the biggest culprit - the toothbrush holder. When Lucy pulls the toothbrushes out of the holder, the grime can be seen in the bottom of the container. Once she's sprayed it and cleaned it out it looks as good as new.

In the comments, people assured Lucy that they always clean these specific areas to keep them looking good.

Someone wrote: "These are weekly jobs except for the first one which can just be done as and when."

Do you clean these areas in your home? Let us know in the comments.
