There are few things more annoying than when you open a fresh pair of tights to put on with your outfit, and then while you're pulling them up your leg it somehow catches on your nails.
Ladders or snags in tights seem inevitable, even when you do your very best not to use your nails. Somehow it always happens.
Luckily, a fashion fan called Hannah Harmelin has shared her 'best hack' that will prevent holes and ladders in your tights – saving lots of money and embarrassment.
The "life changing" hack has been picked up by other accounts, including online hosiery company Tights Tights Tights.
In a recent video, the company thanked Hannah, and showed the "amazing tights hack" which they "weren't aware of", with all their followers.
In the original video, Hannah explained: "Growing up my mum always had the best fashion hacks and this one she taught me stayed with me forever.
"She just always knew what to do in every situation with every outfit. She just taught us so many little tricks that I feel like everyone should know about. This one is life changing."
Hannah went on to explain that when you wear tights and you're pulling them up and you get a ladder in them it's the "worst feeling ever" because your outfit and tights are "ruined".

Sharing her mother's genius hack, Hannah said: "Instead of grabbing your tights and pulling them with your nails, here's what you're going to do.
"Wet your hands in the sink and get the palm of your hands wet. With your wet hands you take them and you pull up your leg. More water, and do the other leg. Just pull them with flat hands. It will stick to your wet hands.
"This way we are pulling our tights up without digging our nails into them and we get no holes in our tights."
People in the comment section were amazed by the incredible hack, with one person simply saying: "Genius!," while another added: "Game changer!"
Another person said: "I'm a flight attendant and you just saved all my tights."
A third added: "Oh this is so smart," while another added: "I have never heard this. Thank you."
Some people suggested that using lotion on your hands also works, or putting socks on your hands if you don't want to get your tights wet.
