Woman shares 'hardest pass' on Hinge dating profile she's ever come across

When scrolling through dating apps, you probably don't want to be thinking too hard about your matches' exes, and you definitely won't want to give too much thought about how close they may still be, or what their voice might sound like.

One woman, by the name of Courtney Taylor, was therefore surprised when she encountered a Hinge profile where the man's ex-girlfriend introduced herself, letting potential dates know - in her own words - that they had "nothing to worry about" when it came to her and Bennet.

As many Hinge users will no doubt know, there is a voice note option that allows you to upload a funny or cheeky message about yourself. Usually, this would be recorded by the app user themselves, or maybe one of their more trusted mates.

However, 24-year-old Courtney was left less than impressed by Bennet's 'interesting' take on this- function, which saw his ex cheerfully making her presence known, while expressing hopes that she would maybe get to meet his potential new girlfriend at some point.

In a recording that Courtney has described as being "the hardest pass I’ve ever had on a dating app", the unnamed former partner introduced herself as "Bennet's ex-girlfriend", before proceeding to sing his praises.

She said: "I just really wanted to get on here and let you girls know that he is such a catch. We're just friends now, there's no feelings, so don't worry about me!

"But I just wanted to get on here and let you guys know that he really will treat you right and he's just incredible. So he can't wait to speak to you guys, and maybe we'll meet someday!"

Courtney - who goes by the username @courtneytaylore - shared the recording in a TikTok video, which saw her eye-rolling and shaking her head throughout, much to her followers' amusement.

Many of Courtney's followers believe they can see right through the super friendly ex-girlfriend, with one suspicious person remarking: "She knew what she was doing".

A second person speculated: She's really keeping him single for herself huh, girl you ain't fooling anyone."

While another joked: "Sign me up. Guys who cheat on me with their ex and gaslight me, telling me I’m insecure, are just my type".
