If you've been on holiday this summer and haven't returned with the sun-kissed bronze goddess look of dreams (seriously, how do those people on holiday get such an amazing even tan?!) then the likelihood is that you've resorted to a well-known cheat - fake tan. But don't you find that sometimes it can go a little bit streaky and completely ruin the vibe you're going for?
Whether it's too dark or too light, it's such a minefield, but one TikTok user Pippa aka @pippawiththepixie has shown how to get the most perfect tan in the most natural colour - so even if you've not spent a week or two in Spain, it'll look like you have.

In the video, which has had attention from many users wanting to look like the ultimate beach babe, Pippa can be seen putting some gradual tan in a small cup, along with an instant tan for best results.
She explained that the gradual tan is medium-dark and the instant tan is ultra dark, so the instant needs to be a darker shade.
Pippa then proceeds to mix the two with a cotton bud, explaining that she likes it to go a certain shade of brown which isn't 'too dark' and therefore unnatural.
She says the process is 'trial and error', but she says 'less rather than more' to start with is best.
Pippa said: "You can always add but once it’s in the bottle you can’t take it away, so add a little bit at a time until it gets to this colour, keep shaking it really thoroughly."
She then proceeds to apply the fake tan mix, explaining she applies it just like a moisturiser, ensuring she washes her hands thoroughly afterwards.
Pippa can be seen rubbing it on her face as she says: "All rubbed in, I'm going to sleep in it and I'll show you the results tomorrow."
She then comes back the morning after a beautiful bronzed colour, but it looks so natural, explaining that for best results she applies every two to three days. She also showed that it doesn't transfer as she slept in the moisturiser with white pyjamas, and no tan can be seen on them.
People were excited about the hack in the comments, praising how it looked.
One wrote: "I’ve been doing this for years and let me tell you - elite."
"Omg why did I never think of this", another added.
Pippa then explained in the comments that it fades better than just using fake tan, writing: "I exfoliate once a week and then reapply but it’s not anything like normal tan tiger bread."
"Game changer", one TikToker commented.
