A woman was sexually assaulted on a train from Inverness to Glasgow by a man who touched her inappropriately and offered her alcohol.
The incident happened just after 5.30pm on Saturday, May 14 when the woman was on the service between the two cities. Groups of football fans were also on board.
During the journey a man approached and sat next to the victim and started offering her alcohol.
He then touched her inappropriately, to which the victim replied, “no thanks”.
The man remained in the seat throughout the journey and continued to try and speak to the victim.

A short while later the man kissed the victim on the cheek and said, “I love you” before getting up and moving to another carriage.
British Transport Police are appealing to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident to assist their enquiries.
