Woman who had surgery in Turkey says head 'exploded' on flight due to cabin pressure

One woman has recounted a 'gross' experience on a recent flight home from Turkey following plastic surgery, as she claims her head 'exploded' mid-air thanks to the cabin pressure.

Taking to TikTok to reveal her ordeal, NHS worker and OnlyFans model Weronika, who posts under the handle @ polish_99, appeared on the app with purple bruising under her eyes and a head brace on.

Her appearance left people shocked and worried, as she wrote on her first clip: "POV: you're the flight attendant that I've just had to inform the back of my head exploded from the pressure", before revealing how 'gross' the experience was in the video caption.

Fellow TikTok users were baffled by Weronika's in-flight experience and begged her to share more details on what happened.

The social media star thankfully spilled the beans in a series of tell-all videos on her profile, where she explains that she had recently undergone 'cat eye' surgery abroad - a treatment that creates the appearance of a more lifted eye area. She also had a 'neck lift' done while in Turkey.

Weronika revealed that prior to her flight she had arranged a final consultation with her surgeon, who had also previously carried out her BBL work.

The influencer claims that her surgeon was pleased with her recovery process so far and agreed to give her a fit to fly certificate. Unfortunately, there was a spanner in the works as her surgeon had forgot to give her one so she had to visit a different doctor at the airport.

Hitting back at all the claims she wasn't fit to fly, Weronika insists that she got given the all-clear by multiple doctors - the one at the airport and her surgeon over WhatsApp.

She said: "No one made any mistake, the original surgeon or the airport doctor at the hospital. Everything was fine when I got on the plane."

Unfortunately, the stiches from her surgery burst open while the woman was on the plane, leaving her with severe pain and blood oozing from the back of her head.

"I have unusually soft tissue and swell more than the average person which led to some of the stitches coming open on the plane in one tiny area," she explained.

"We were on the plane, everything's chill, we'd gone to sleep because we'd been travelling since 2am and I wake up and I'm in a lot of pain.

"I can feel pain all around [behind my left ear], like my actual ear was in pain as well and I was like, 'How is that possible? I can't even feel my ears yet'.

"Everything was really hurting, I got up, went to the toilet and I heard this audible pop."

Things only got worse from there, as Weronika realised that the incision behind her ear had shockingly 'ripped' open.

She continued: "Immediately after I felt this hot liquid [blood] dripping down my neck and I grabbed some towels and started wiping it up".

The social media star then went on to say that she thinks the "explosion" was caused by the fact that she had a drain in the exact area that burst open, meaning fluid could easily collect there.

All Weronika could do was keep pressure on the wounded area until her flight hit the tarmac, but she was seriously grossed out by the whole ordeal.

Thankfully the OnlyFans model seems to be recovering, and many of her followers have flooded to the comments on her post to wish her well.

She captioned her final video with the update: "Long story short I ended up with a infected oozing hole behind my ear but it’s clearing up now and it’s all good I just have to be careful before it shuts".

One person wrote: "That sounds scary hope you're OK".

While another added: "Your so brave that’s so traumatic".

Others urged her not to get any more surgery, with one TikToker writing: "You're very pretty naturally and you look great now. Don't ruin yourself though and know when enough is enough".
