One woman has reached out to followers asking if a "strange" date with an Irish guy in Belfast was the norm.
The woman, who goes by the Twitter handle @p8stie, told her followers of her date in the Northern Irish city which ended on a distasteful note, however it certainly struck up a ball of fun online.
She recalled how when she declined the offer of going home with said man, rather than accepting her decision, he started a fight outside a takeaway shop.

She tweeted that the pair went to a pub, where he drank seven pints and hardly spoke to her.
"Then he tried to makeout with me and when I wouldn’t go home with him he picked a fight with some guy outside?? Is this normal?????"
Now viewed over four million times, the post has multiple retweets and responses as well as having accumulated 45,000 likes. Not to mention some worthy replies weighing in on the question put to followers.
One user joked: "You mean to tell me that not only did you meet a man that was ready to listen, but also fight for you too??"
Another added: "I'm impressed he could afford 7 rounds of drink in Belfast to be fair! Have you seen the prices? #notions."
"When your date will not try and then he hits a guy, that's amore," a third person joked.
A fourth sarcastically described the man as a good listener, not a big drinker, affectionate and someone who stands up for themselves. "Keeper," they concluded.
"Leaving a place without letting people know you're leaving = Irish goodbye. Drinking 7 beers, barely saying a word, trying to go for a kiss, and then fighting a stranger = Irish hello," a final comment said.
