Woman's Aldi checkout hack has people cracking up - but some say it 'feels illegal'

A woman has been branded a 'genius' for her shopping hack which means she doesn't need to use plastic bags anymore.

TikTok user Lydia came up with a clever way to do her weekly shop at Aldi that's both effective and kinder on the environment, as the Daily Star reports.

Instead of reusing plastic bags or buying a new one for 15p each time she shops, Lydia takes a suitcase with her - and fills that with her shopping each time.

She's shared the simple yet effective hack online and now she's been branded a genius by other TikTok users, who all said they'd be trying the same thing.

However, she shared in the clip that an ‘old man’ laughed at her food shopping hack.

When it came to the checkout, instead of having to bag her food up - Lydia simply placed the items in her suitcase and rolled it back home.
