The agony of finding the right size when you go clothes shopping is something that almost all women are very familiar with - as it's quite common to fluctuate between two sizes depending on which shop you're in.
But one woman on TikTok has been left furious after she bought a size 12 pair of trousers from Primark and was completely unable to do them up - despite fitting perfectly into jeans from New Look that were two sizes smaller.
Ally Marie said she had shared a video to social media "to rant" about the problem, as although she is normally a size 10, she had decided to buy a size 12 pair of trousers because they "looked tiny" on the hanger.
And when she got them home, she was unable to do up the zip or the button, as the trousers were just too tight.

The woman, who posts under the username @allymarieox, said: "I've literally come on here with no make-up on to rant.
"What the hell is Primark playing at? These are a 12. A 12. I'm a size 10, and I got a bigger pair because they looked tiny.
"I can't even do them up, and I can't walk. I was wearing a size 8 pair of jeans from New Look before I put these on."
To make matters worse, Ally Marie had been wearing a size 8 pair of jeans from New Look before trying on her new purchase and when laid on top of each other, the Primark item was noticeably smaller than the New Look one - even though it should have been two sizes bigger.
In her video, the woman put her jeans back on to show people how well they fit her, before showing what the two trousers look like when laid on top of one another.
And in the caption, she wrote: "Primark this is ridiculous, no wonder people are struggling with body image."
People in the comments of the video shared in Ally Marie's frustration, as many said they'd had similar issues with sizing.
But the problem doesn't just exist in Primark, as many women find that no shops seem to sell clothes that use the same sizing scheme, so they never know whether something will fit them.
One person said: "This is why I currently wear leggings. Sizing everywhere for females sucks."
While another added: "You need to ignore the labels, even in more expensive shops."
And a third wrote: "Snap! I have to get a bigger size and I'm only a 10! Where do they get their measurements from?"
When contacted for comment, a Primark spokesperson told The Mirror: “The fit of our clothing is really important to us and we are always working with both our suppliers and technologists in our quality team to ensure consistency.
"We continue to fit our designs using Size UK data as standard but always encourage customers to get in touch with us if they have concerns about sizing and we will happily look into their query.”
New Look was also contacted for comment.
